Meet Tara Thomas-Gettman

Tara is the messenger who shares LIFT content across multiple platforms–as a writer, producer, host and voiceover talent. She co-hosts LIFTu LIVE!, the company’s weekly podcast. Tara collaborated on the best-selling ultimate franchise guide Live It 2 Own It that led LIFT to expand its products and services for the franchise community.

A longtime former TV news anchor, Tara has years of media experience both as a journalist and public relations professional–primarily in K-12 education. She is a trusted communications advisor with an affinity for keeping calm, covering all the angles and getting straight to the point.

A native of Peoria, Illinois, Tara studied journalism and political science at Boston University and has a Master’s Degree in strategic communication from the University of Iowa. She and her husband live in Iowa with their two children, who they watch compete in basketball, baseball and track nearly every weekend.
